RESEARCH PROBLEMS OF THE DEPARTMENT

1. Intensive treatment of children with multiple organ injuries, sepsis and septic shock, and multiple organ failure.
2. Anesthesiological problems during endoscopic examinations of children.
3. Assessment of the protective effect of inhalation anesthetics in selected cardiac catheterization procedures and surgeries for congenital heart defects in children.
4. "Pre-emptive analgesia" with the use of regional anesthesia as an alternative to perioperative management in oncological surgery in children.
5. Assessment of thermoregulation during major surgical procedures in children and its effect on disorders in the early perioperative period.
6. Analgosedation of children treated in the Intensive Care Unit in the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic approach.
7. Pharmacokinetics of drugs used in children during general anesthesia.
8. Assessment of circadian rhythms in children in the Intensive Care Unit.
